Trimming
Been a bit busy with other stuff last few months having got the car back road worthy again. But then was time to try and neaten it up and get this carpet set fitted. Tools of the trade needed: some old medical scissors proved invaluable. Amazing how often old medical instruments proven themselves the best garage tools. So because I decided I wanted the rear boot lining to be hardura rather than carpet I set myself a rather difficult task. How to cover the strengthening pieces in hardura. 7 Different curves in one piece....lots of heating, stretching, pinning and trimming needed. 2 days in the boot just for these 2 pieces! But well worth the end result. However, I had made a little fubar..I forgot the DHMC hardtop that I will replace the other hardtop with uses the original mounting brackets, not the custom ones I had to make up previously.
